Report an Issue or Event
COLFO often receives emails from licensed firearm owners who have either witnessed a concerning incident or have been subject to what they believe is unfair treatment by Police of the Firearms Safety Authority.
To help us manage these, you can now report events via the link below to securely let us know what is happening in the community, and so we can raise these incidents on your behalf without sharing your identity.
Please note, for license revocation or legal support requests, use the Sentinel Form Here.
What You Could Report
Unfair License Revocations
If your firearms license was revoked for non-criminal reasons, such as speeding tickets, divorce proceedings, or other personal matters, report it to COLFO. By sharing your experience, we can advocate for fair treatment, challenge unjust decisions, and protect the rights of responsible firearms owners without revealing your identity.
Errors in the Firearms Register
Mistakes in the Firearms Registry, such as incorrect firearms listed against your name, issues with transferring firearms, or wrong serial numbers and details, can create serious problems. Reporting these errors to COLFO helps us track inaccuracies, push for corrections, and ensure the registry remains reliable and accurate for all licensed owners.
Concerns about a LFO's Behaviour
If you witness unsafe or concerning behaviour by a licensed firearm owner, reporting it to COLFO is essential for community safety. Your anonymous report allows us to address issues early, advocate for responsible practices, and maintain high standards among firearms owners without inviting overly restrictive regulations.
Concerns about Police or FSA Behaviour
If you’ve experienced or observed inappropriate conduct by police or Firearms Safety Authority (FSA) staff during interactions as a licensed firearm owner, let COLFO know. Reporting these concerns enables us to identify patterns, hold authorities accountable, and advocate for fair and respectful treatment of all firearms owners.
