It has been a big year for licensed firearm owners in New Zealand, and COLFO's members have been with us every step of the way. Your support is what lets us turn up, do the work, and speak on behalf of law-abiding owners where it counts.

To say thank you for standing with us this year, one COLFO member will be drawn on 10 December 2026 to receive a voucher for a brand new Haenel Jaeger 10 Varmint .270, generously gifted by our friends at NZ Ammo.

How it works

The Christmas Haenel draw is a thank you to the people who already back COLFO. Every financial member on 10 December 2026 is included automatically. There's no ticket to buy, no entry fee, no extra entries, and nobody has to do anything to take part. People pay their membership for COLFO's advocacy, legal support and member benefits, and the draw adds nothing to the cost of joining or renewing.

A current New Zealand firearms licence is required to redeem the voucher. Any transfer will be completed in line with the Arms Act 2026. No cash alternative.

COLFO is the national voice for licensed firearm owners.

Getting the new Arms Act across the line and separating the regulator from Police was only stage one. The regulations are now being worked through and will be set after the election, and whoever is in government will decide how the law is applied to licensed firearm owners. Decisions like which firearms are restricted or prohibited now sit with the executive, and without a strong national advocacy group, they go largely unchecked.

Your local club matters, and we encourage you to support it. National advocacy is a different job, and it is one we do for all licensed owners.
