OIA Response: Offending by Police Employees and Firearms Licence Holders

COLFO asked Firearms Safety and Education New Zealand (FSE) and Police for yearly figures from 2021 to 2026 on criminal charges and convictions for Police employees and firearms licence holders, along with staff and licence holder numbers.
Most parts of the request were refused because the information would require substantial collation or is not held. FSE did release Arms Act offence data showing 467 individuals with an active licence at the time of an Arms Act offence from 2021 to July 2026, against 10,705 prosecuted individuals without an active licence, and Police headcount figures.
